Probably not herpes: Sorry to hear how tough this has been. But I doubt herpes is really the problem. I'm not doubting you have HSV2, but it does not cause fever and body aches so frequently for months on end. Recurrent herpes ONLY causes genital sores and symptoms, not fever and body aches. And valacyclovir doesn't cause hair loss. Ask your doctor to refer you to an infectious diseases specialist. Good luck!
