Not Approved: Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) is not fda-approved for weight loss. It must be taken under the supervision of prescriber for approved purposes (adhd & narcolepsy) but may have secondary effect like weight loss. If you are concerned that your friend may be taking it for the wrong reason you may wish to express to friend your concern and advise your friend to consult prescriber.
