Not quite: under normal circumstance, you ovulate 14 days before the first day of your period. If you have regular 28 day cycles while off the pill, you ovulate 14 days after first day of period. If you have regular 35 day cycles, you ovulate 21 days after first day of your period. So on and so forth. Measuring basal body temp or using an ovulation kit will help you know when you ovulate.
