A member asked:

Am i protected during my pill-free week? i take cocs and have never missed a pill or taken pills late

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Women who take their birth control pills correctly, are protected every day, all the time. They have no fertile days, so they don't get pregnant regardless of on which days they have sex. If still worried, one can do a home pregnancy test 3 weeks after sex. Tests are inexpensive and sold in stores everywhere.
