How can we prevent getting warts?

You really can't: Just manage them as they turn up. Nobody understands the why's. Genital HPV can be avoided using barrier protection without fail. Everybody has some skin HPV strains and most of us have warts pop up. Deal with them. Best wishes.

Avoid the virus: Warts are cause by HPV, the human papilloma virus. HPV is spread by direct skin contact. So avoid touching people with warts!
