Tonsilits: See your doctor, Sounds like strep throat or tonsillitis. It is easy to do a throat culture. It is even easier to do a physical exam. See your doctor. Untreated strep throat can have serious consequences, well beyond the sore throat.

See your doctor.: Although most episodes of adult pharyngitis are viral and do not need antibiotics,, if your throat has been sore this long, it deserves to be seen in order to see if you may have a bacterial infection. I would see your doctor soon as you can. Good luck.
