A member asked:

Can you let me know how many times can you take the varicella vaccine in your life?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Recommended 2: The current recommendation for varicella vaccine is an initial vaccine at age 1 and then a booster, usually given at ages 4-6, but can be given as soon as a month after the first one. However, if you get extra doses, it is not going to do you harm - it will just boost your immunity. Often the military gives you many of these shots at boot camp regardless of whether you've had them before -no harm!
