Gastritis: Gastritis refers to inflammation of stomach lining. Calcium, H2 blockers & proton pump inhibitors, all available over-the-counter w/o prescription are often used to treat this condition along w/others, eg heartburn, indigestion, acid reflux, etc. I don't see any harm in eating ice cream (dairy products contain calcium, after all) but don't overdo it! Too many calories & not enough nutrition.
