White flashes: White flashes of light seen after being punched in the eye are due to a sudden change in the shape of the eye that can cause the gel in the eye (the vitreous) to pull on the retina (back film of eye which is an extension of brain tissue). Alternatively a sudden change in blood pressure in the eye can also cause one to see white flashes of lights. If persists, see eyeMD. If high Rx, see eyeMD ASAP
