Insuff Info: Sounds like could be infected. Do U have any recollection of banging it or stepping on something. Do U walk barefoot, could be a splinter now infected. You need a doctor to look at it. An Internist/Dermatologist/ Podiatrist. Are you diabetic? If so important that this be seen soon. Until your appointment not unreasonable to soak in warm water w epson salt & neosporin after, cover w bandaid.
