Use birth control: Any sexual intercourse encounter has a chance of pregnancy, especially if no birth control was used. Even though the chances of being pregnant may be statistically low from just one time, recurrent non-protected intercourse will obviously increase the likelihood of pregnancy overtime. The use of birth control during every act of sexual intercourse will obviously reduce chances of pregnancy. Try it

Happy birthday!: Sperm normally comes out of the vagina after intercourse, but enough remains inside and swims toward the egg to attempt fertilization. It only takes one sperm to become pregnant. If you don't plan on having a baby, make sure you use birth control every time, preferably condoms since they also protect against STD. See your gynecologist for birth control options. You could also use Plan B if recent.
