Possible: It is uncommon in young pts for hypothyroidism to cause heart probs, but it def can cause cardiac issues. It cause a slow heart beat, which usually resolves with treatment. If left untreated hypothyroidism can lead to a cardiomyopathy (gen heart dysfunction). This is often reversible, but left untreated can lead to permanent cardiac damage and irreg heart beats. If tx'd there should no problems!
