That's a lotta skips: If this is truly the case, then this needs to be investigated right away. This could be a significant heart rhythm disturbance.

It could be: Hi Greg, it depends on what you mean by "skipping" a beat. For instance if you were to measure your heart rate at 80 beats per minute at one point in time and then you drop to 69 beats at another time then this would be no issue. However if you notice that your heart rate is irregular and/or either very slow (less than 50) or very fast (over 100 at rest) then this could be significant.

Skipping beats: Hi GregK, skipping heartbeats isn't necessarily a problem. It really depends on if you are having symptoms or what is causing the "skipped beat". At times the heart can have premature beats. This is usually not concerning. An ecg can be helpful at determining what these "skipped beats" are. Your doctor may also want other tests. Avoiding energy drinks and stimulant drugs can help as well.

Heart beats: Missed her beats have several reasons. Depends if you have ant symptoms. If you don't have any symptoms then dot panic . See your GP when ever you get appointment . They can do a ECG and determine the cause for the same.

Need an E.C.G.: If the heart skips beats then there could be an underlying electrical problem such as an arrhythmia. In this situation one should attend the doctor and ask for an E.C.G., preferably when experiencing the skipped beats, to find out what is going on. Worst case scenario it could be a serious abnormality like sick sinus syndrome which can cause sudden cardiac arrest. Or it could be totally benign.

Not necessarily: Your heartbeat is meant to be regular but there are many things that make it feel like it is missing, skipping, or fluttering. Most are benign but it is reasonable to see your GP and get an ECG to diagnose the problem if one actually exists.

Hard to say: Best to get a doctors assessment here. Can be normal to have transient sensation of skipped or missed beats however may be indicative of some heart rhythm problem. Needs a bit more information, clinical assessment and possibly ECG (heart tracing) to try and sort this out. GP might be a good place to start here.
