A member asked:

I had an eeg done and the results said that my brain shows signs of that with someone who has a tendency to have seizures. what does that mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Likely nonspecific: An EEG showing paroxysmal activity can be related to migraine, prior head or neck injury, or even family history of such tracings, besides true epilepsy. Therefore, if you have never had a seizure, this is of little significance. Would encourage full face to face discussion with your neurologist at this point.
