Could be normal: If you are not pregnant, it is sometimes normal to skip a period. Keep a calendar of your menstrual cycle, and bring it to your doctor for more discussion. For most women, even having only 4-5 periods a year can be acceptable. However, some women will choose to regulate with birth control pills.
