Could be candida: Sometimes after antibiotic administration a fungal infection may occur. Fungal (candida is common) vaginitis is common and may present with vaginal itching, whitish discharge, or a "shiny" area which may resemble a burn. Over-the-counter anti-fungal creams such as miconazole may be effective. Alternatively a prescription oral medication can be provided by your physician.
