True that!: If you are having reflux from the stomach on a continuing basis, especially when lying down, your tongue is catching the brunt of the stomach acid that is being "burped up". Hydrochloric acid will irritate or inflame anything that it touches if it isn't the stomach which manufactures the acid, and is designed by Mother Nature to contain the same.
