Reduce blood clots: By squeezing the outer leg with a compression system, blood flow to the inner vein system is increased reducing the chance of slowed blood flow, which is a contributing factor to the creation of blood clots that can occur while your lying still for the surgery or just in bed, and not using your leg muscles to increase blood flow normally.
