Should not: If Bentyl (dicyclomine) is helping your IBS-C I would continue it. It is an antispasmodic that treats underlying IBS and helps both those with constipation and diarrhea. It should treat the spasm in your colon and not change the long term nature of your intestine. If it starts to make your constipation worse I would cut it back or stop it. Taking it twice a day is fairly low does but if it helps continue.
