A member asked:

When can you test negative for suboxone in urine and blood test? my friend is very ill and fears that he won't be taken seriously and like an addict.

Not sure of ?: Unfortunately, all too many physicians and other health care providers have negative views of people with addiction, whether they are receiving treatment or not. The doctor providing the suboxone can recommend colleagues who are more open-minded and should be consulted. Most common drug-screens do not include buprenorphine (the active drug). Blood tests aren't often used.
