No: Taking Valtrex (valacyclovir) does not change the test results for the usual STD tests, including HIV tests. Herpes tests are usually blood tests (unless the doctor is swabbing or scraping the actual skin lesion for a culture). If a patient is already on an anti-herpes drug like Valtrex (valacyclovir), the skin lesion culture might be harder to get a positive result from, but the blood tests results should be accurate.
