A member asked:

A contraceptive pill consisting of cyproterone acetate and ethinyl estradiol, i read that can cause thrombosis, taking 4 years ,what are the risks?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

RISK VERY SMALL: Risk of blood clots are lowest for levonorgestrel and norgestimate, and highest for desogestrel and cyproterone- but risk for all pills very low--and MUCH lower than risk of blood clots or other complicatons of pregnancy. Pregnancy kills too. Mirena IUD has risks too, but is a form of contraception that has no estrogen. Copper IUD has no hormones at all. Risks for all Smoking increases risk.
