44 BPM is slow: That blood pressure is normal for a healthy woman in her 30s; however, a resting heart rate of 44 is slow. In a very fit, active woman, there might not be anything wrong. However, it could indicate a problem, such as thyroid disease or a heart condition. If you don’t typically have a low heart rate or haven’t talked with your doctor about this before, I recommend you do so.
