Not clear: Neither is used first line for GAD, so it is hard to say which would be better, it either at all, as it is somewhat based on the individual. I have used amitriptyline for anxiety with a headache disorder. Pregabalin is first line for pain, specifically neuropathic pain. Your diazepam should be helpful for anxiety.
