A member asked:

How can chloramphenicol 0.5% eyedrops be able to used as ear drops when the eardrops is supposed to be 5%? if so, would be be 10 drops tds each ear?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not quite so simple: unlike an oral dose of medication, putting more ear drops in probably won't change the dosage. On the other hand, it won't hurt, either, so no reason not to try the lower dose.
