A member asked:

I have got crps and my knee keeps dislocating. should i get a knee immobiliser? how long should i have it on for and do i need it all the time? thanks

Until you are strong: CRPS isn't associated with knee dislocation, so be sure your PCP doesn't think something else should be done. Stronger muscles will help prevent recurrent dislocation ( or more likely, subluxation of the kneecap) but a flexible or hinged sleeve will help until you can build up strength..which I know is hard with CRPS. Keep trying!!
