A member asked:

What happens if you dislocate your knee, pop it back in place but don't get it seen to? what are the consequences?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Knee dislocation: A true knee dislocation where the tibia is separated from the femur must be quickly attended to with careful neurovascular attention. This is apart from a patellar dislocation which is sometimes confused as a "knee dislocation." x rays, follow up MRI and vascular checks are paramount.
