A member asked:

Which type of massage can you give to an elderly person with advanced parkinson's?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Just about any: There is really no restriction for most parkinson patients. Keep in mind that although massage helps in the short-term, the benefit does not last. Nevertheless in the short term patients do report feeling better. I should mention that if the patient has deep brain stimulators, you want to avoid deep tissue massage of the neck.
