Probably not: While previously accepted opinions suggested that weight training at a prepubertal age may stunt growth, most recent evidence disputes this theory. Studies have shown that strength training leads to improvement in muscle coordination & strength, despite no significant change in muscle size (until after puberty when hormones help add muscle bulk).
