Ovulate once: Home ovulation tests actually detect a hormone called LH and not ovulation. If one ovulates they only ovulate once. If they results of a home ovulation kit are not giving you reliable result then you will need to schedule a midluteal phase Progesterone blood test to determine if ovulation is occurring or not.
