Yes, no.: The contents of chemical hair removers are not known to cause birth defects. In addition, very little if any will be absorbed into moms bloodstream. You might want to avoid inhaling a whole lot of the fumes however so use in a well-ventilated area.

No to bloodstream: Most of my colleagues say NAIR is safe during pregnancy. I come from a different angle. If it is left on too long, used in an inappropriate area or if your skin is sensitive, it could lead to rash, sometimes blistering. My general philosophy is not use any unnecessary chemicals/ substances during pregnancy. Some may consider this to be a cautious view.
