Many things!: Menstrual flow can be altered by a large number of things. Increased blood flow can be due to fibroids, adenomyosis, endometriosis, bleeding/clotting problems, and uterine polyps, increased estrogen, and MANY OTHER things. Be sure to follow-up with your OB/GYN or primary care physician if you are experiencing changes in menstrual bleeding.
