Pediatrician: Take your baby to your pediatrician first for an evaluation. Your description may indicate an infection of the eyelid. This could follow a upper respiratory tract infection, ear infection, & possibly a sinus infection. The eyelid may swell if there is excessive tearing, mattering, rubbing, and of course, from infections. A pediatrician can determine whether your child needs to see an Eye MD too
