It's risky: Not to have proper neurological follow up , it can lead to seizure breakthrough any time putting yours or somebody else's,life at risk. Don't understimate the risk for a sz. No scientific studies show any protective effects of herbs or diets. Xanax (alprazolam) requires a script and due to its short acting is not a good long standing sz med. Better try to stick to a traditional epilepsy treatment.

No: An epileptic who is controlled by medication must plan his or her life to never lose access to meds or doctors. For example, if there is a chance of being kidnapped by radical terrorists in a foreign country, then that epileptic should not travel to that foreign country. Everyone gets to choose a way to live that does not endanger themselves or others.
