Dandruff: Dandruff is the flaking off of dead skin cells from your scalp. Usually this is due to the skin being dry. This could simply be caused by the weather. As the skin dries, it flakes off. An easy otc remedy to try is to use head and shoulders shampoo.

Dandruff: By definition, dandruff is dry skin on the scalp that can flake off. However, another common cause of flakes in the hair is excess shampoo or conditioner that is not completely washed out. There are several over the counter shampoos that can help with dandruff but if that doesn't work, your dermatologist may be able to help.

DANDRUFF: Nothing stops dandruff like a blue serge suit! dandruff is a flaky, scaling, often itchy condition of the scalp. What to do, besides seeing a dermatologist? Shampoo daily (if you can) with either a tar shampoo (t-gel or tarsum, for example), or with Nizoral (ketoconazole) or selsun shampoo. These are over-the-counter. If it doesn't improve, see a dermatologist. Best luck!
