Dandruff shampoo: You can start out with with dandruff shampoos such as head& shoulder, selsun blue, and /or Nizoral (ketoconazole) shamppo etc...Avoid excessive hot showers/baths, and use a bit of hair-conditioner may help. If these don't help, consult doc for an eval as other diseases which may cause "dandruff" appearing on scalp--such as psoriasis and fungal infections etc...Consult doc. Good luck.

Anti-dandruff 'poos: Dandruff is associated with malassezia fungus infection. Buy over-the-counter dandruff shampoos, and look for one that contains zinc pyrithione, which can reduce the fungus; selenium sulfide, which can limit cell turnover and decrease the amount of fungus; salicylic acid, which works as a sort of scrub to slough off dead skin; or ketoconazole, which works against a broad array of fungi.
