A member asked:

I am already on duphaston treatment for irregular bleeding. will taking norlevo cause any adverse effect?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

DUPHASTON+PLANB: Hello, both drugs counteract each other. The duphaston is a progesterone analogue and is used to DECREASE the hypertrophic endometrium in the second half of the menstrual cycle which is the cause of menorragia. Norlevo (plan B) causes INCREASE in the thickness of the endometrium in order to get it to slough, exactly what duphaston prevents. If good reason, STOP Duphaston, take Norlevo this cycle
