Hormonal fluctuation: Bleeding around the time of ovulation comes from a fluctuation in hormone levels and does not interfere with conception. Fertilization of the egg occurs in the fallopian tube, and the fertilized egg needs a week to travel into to womb and implant. www.healthtap.com/drpeterbaumann
