A member asked:

I always get crazy intense headache in the back of my head when we reach flying height (not landing or rising). what can i do? can it be serious?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly serious-: You should discuss this with a physician in your area. You may have a pocket of trapped air/gas in your head that expands when going to altitude. This is usually from a sinus infection, trauma or developmental anomaly. Aircraft cabins are pressurized to simulate 8,000 ft (2400m) Like being up on a mountain. You may need a CT or MRI of the skull/brain. You may want to avoid flying for a bit.
