Risk of epilepsy: depends on several things including the type of epilepsy the family member has, the genetic make up of other parent and other factors that might put an individual at risk for a first seizure ( trauma, infection, lack of sleep, electrolyte imbalance, medications, and toxic / nutritional factors )
