Small parasites...: Crab lice are very small parasites that are generally detected on the skin of the groin / inguinal areas. They can cause itching and skin irritation. Crab lice lay small egg sacs at the base of hairs. Generally crab lice are transmitted from person to person by close physical contact (often by sexual contact). Crab lice can be treated with over the counter medications.

Transmission: Crabs (pubic lice) is usually transmitted through direct contact during sexual activity. There can also be vector transmission via contaminated towels, sheets or clothes.
