Brownish or darker: blood generally means that it is old(er) blood -- in your case meaning it may have stayed in your uterus a day or two longer than it should. When in doubt check pregnancy test twice 1 week apart. If this continues and you have discharge afterwards, cramping, vaginal itching then go get yourself tested for vaginal infection.
