If you had sexual: intercourse in the past month, even with some kind of contraceptive, sure, it's possible that you could be pregnant. Sometimes, implantation bleeding (spotting that can occur when an embryo attaches to the uterus) occurs around the time of a missed period. The exact time of implantation is difficult to pinpoint.
