Possible Hepes Simpl: Hi AndreA, Has this happened before. What you descrive as "bubbles" are known as vesicles and ususally burst as the infection progresses and then a crust appears. These are known as "cold sores" and are typically due to herpes simplex virus. The usually last for 10 days and can recur. If coaught early, as you describe they can be treated with oral acyclovir.
