I believe you: understand that only you can answer that question. It is certainly true that having a sense of satisfaction and even accomplishment related to one's career is a potential contributor to happiness. And, vice versa, dissatisfaction in one's career often contributes to unhappiness. Fortunately many people do not experience career satisfaction but can still find a path to happiness:) Good wishes!

The best career: fit for us tends to be one where our interests and abilities fit with the functions of the job. While it is not a 100% guarantee, looking into something that you enjoyed before might be a good fit. I would also encourage you to explore other career options as well - make sure that your next move is a great fit.
