Hi, i was cleaning my 3 year old's ear with q tips this morning and when i pulled the q tip out there was blood on the bud. is this bad?

Possibly: Q tips can cause a hole in the ear drum. Alternatively it may be an abrasion to the ear canal. Have him examined and keep the ear canal dry. All the best. Avoid Q tips or anything smaller than your elbow. Kids are very mobile and often move during this process.
