Not usually: This is called a "threatened miscarriage". You are likely passing an embryo that did not form or attach properly. A blood test to check your hCG level and an ultrasound will help you know if the pregnancy is in trouble. And if this pregnancy does not make it, do not blame yourself! It is extremely common and most often just an "error of nature", not anything you did.
