Maybe shin splints: Shin splints are a common injury from over-exertion of the legs. They are usually due to muscle strain, but in some cases there may be tiny stress fractures in the shin. Rest your legs and try an ice pack on one shin, perhaps 20 minutes every four hours for a day. If it helps, start doing it on the other leg. If you can take Ibuprofen, try that. If pain is severe, or not better soon, see MD
