20 weeks is good: Time for a routine ultrasound for dating of the gestation and a survey of the anatomy of the fetus. Unless something doesn't look right in the ultrasound, or you have some risk factors, a TIFFA scan should be needed only something appears out of the ordinary on a routine 20 week ultrasound or there are risk factors for fetal abnormalities.
