Likely NOT: Moles are benign. However, be familiar with the ABCD's of melanoma. If there are any concerning characteristics, a dermatologist will either observe frequently or biopsy.

Maybe - ABCDs: When evaluating a mole, consider ABCDs: 1. Asymmetry - Does it look symmetric or asymmetric if you divide lesion in half 2. Border - Is the border regular or irregular 3. Color - is the color consistent or variable 4. Border - Is it larger than a pencil erasure Individually these features may not be concerning, but taken together they can be. Based on your description and history, get it evaluated
